Is the stock axle embly of an 88 Ford Bronco (Bauer edition) a Dana 44-19?
I'm not a 100% sure about the 88 but most all of the newer ford full size is Dana 44 or the cheap copy that they sometimes use with the weak wheel bearings. I think the 88 has a 9 inch ford rear diff. I think that was the most common heavy duty rear end used at that time and the Bauer's always used the heaviest one available. i think it was the early 90's when ford went to the Dana 44 for all 3/4 tons or bigger and now they use Dana's for all full sized trucks. Not always the 44, but some of the lighter ones as well, depending on the package.
