Birthday wine party, need advice for dinner?

So I'm throwing my mother a wine party for her birthday this Saturday. We will only be having 9 guests, and we will be serving appetizers and dinner. The mood is casual, so most likely, everyone will be dishing up buffet style. The wines are mostly whites and blushes, since this is what she prefers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
