My hair is falling off!!!?

I'm 16 and my hair just started to fall, when I shower I see hair falling and when I brush my hair I also see some falling. I tought it was because of the hair gel that I was using because I started to use a new kind and that's when it started. Sometimes my scalp is itchy but its not constant. Is there a remedy to this?
