Are reporters allowed to film in my yard when I asked them not to?

My family has been in the news lately for something, and we've been getting bombarded by reporters. Once they filmed one of my family members outside and asked them to answer questions. This said family member said "I would not like to answer questions and I would not like you to be on my property or film on my property." They showed the video they took of that anyways on the local news. They were in our yard. Is that illegal for them to film on private property when we asked them not to?
