Changing the primary account?

sbcglobal said we had to change our accounts from sbcglobal.net to att.net now we cant get the account names to transfer over correctly and we cant access the email for the new sub account we had to make because they request a pword abd we never set a pword on that account so there isnt one to submit. IM SO CONFUSED!!!! WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?????
