Is iraq a better place now?

Since we shoved Democracy down the throats of the Iraqi people, Iraq is a different place but not necessarily a better place. Christians that used to be protected by Hussein"s secular dictatorship are now being persecuted and chased out of the country. Under Hussein, women attended the universities and held government positions but now are being discouraged by the more strict Islamic government in power. This government also leans towards better cooperation with Iran which used to be Hussein's bitter enemy. Our invasion has changed Iraq but was it an improvement?
