Union Steals yet another League Youngster (Do you produce any of your own)?
It's desperation. England's rugby union club game is dominated by foreigners and the clubs are far more interested in buying players who have already proved themselves than to develop their own. Now that they're getting bad press for not having enough English players, they're buying league players, despite the fact that they've never played union and aren't always suited to the more tactical game. England have the most players of all the rugby playing nations and the most money but their clubs are going for quick solutions rather than looking at the long term.
